Headin’ West – Day Three

Author Note: Sadly I lost all of the pictures I took during this mission so the following posts will sadly not be accompanied with many pictures if any. Additionally these post were originally written several months back. I am only getting to post them now.

Woke up this morning ready to head to north east Iowa (sort of) and found nothing but storms … storms everywhere. Seeing that I wouldn’t be able to do anything over there I realized I would be stuck until tomorrow. By this point after two days going without proper sleep … I was well overdue for some down time. I used the free time to work on the cameras and get them both in proper working order again and to catch up on some necessary paperwork. I spent most of the day in the FBO just chilling on the Internet and working. For lunch I went over to this Chinese restaurant (The Great Wall … figures) which was actually really good. I haven’t had Chinese food in a while, though I suppose one could argue if it was actually true Chinese cuisine. After that I headed up to the FBO and proceeded to catch a nap in some of the more comfortable chairs I have found in an FBO, and man … did I need that nap. Not much else happened up to the point of the original writing of this post. Going to get up early and head for Iowa ASAP. With any luck I’ll get everything done tomorrow.
